The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Sauk County will hold a public input meeting:

Time: 9:00 AM

Place: West Square Building, Room 213, 505 Broadway, Baraboo

 

The public and other stakeholders will be able to make comments and ask questions about the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Sauk County’s (ADRC) transportation program.

The purpose of the meeting is to present information and receive comments about Sauk County’s grant application for the Wisconsin Statute Section 85.21 County Elderly and Disabled Transportation Assistance Program.  The 2023 grant allocation will support the ADRC’s specialized transportation programs for adults aged 60 and older and adults with disabilities.  The programs include: the Volunteer Escort Driver Program, Shopping and Fun Day bus trips, and the Taxi Ticket Subsidy program for Baraboo, Sauk and Reedsburg where residents can purchase taxi tickets for half the face value. 

Transportation to the hearing will be provided for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Please call the Transportation Office at (608) 355-3278 to make arrangements.

A quorum may be present consisting of members of the Aging & Disability Resource Center Committee; Economic Development Committee; Finance, Personnel & Insurance Committee; Health Resources Committee; Land Resources & Environment Committee; Law Enforcement & Judiciary Committee; Public Works and Infrastructure Committee; and Executive & Legislative Committee.  No governing body will exercise any responsibilities, authority or duties except for the Executive & Legislative Committee. It is possible that a quorum of county board members will be at this meeting to gather information about a subject over which they have decision-making responsibility. This constitutes a meeting of the County Board pursuant to State ex rel Badke v. Greendale Village Board, Wis 2d 553, 494 n.w.2d 408 (1993), and must be noticed as such, although the County Board will not take any formal actions at this meeting. It is also possible that there may be quorums of other County Board Committees present, although those committees will not take any formal action at this meeting.
