Transportation Coordination Committee
Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
Basement Conference Room B24, West Square Building, 505 Broadway, Baraboo, WI 53913

Committee Members Present:  Moore, Demers, Klepper, Spencer, Lennon, Rudolph, Wildman, Schulte (as substitute for Richard Running)
Committee Members Absent:  Ellington, Brown
Others Present:  Blodgett, Goodman, Kitzinger, Diane Heiser - Service Coordinator Village Square

Chair Moore called the meeting to order at 10:02 a.m. and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was verified.

MOTION (Demers/Spencer) to adopt the agenda.  Motion carried unanimously and agenda adopted.

MOTION (Spencer/Demers) to approve the minutes of the meeting on August 25, 2016.  Motion carried unanimously.

Public Comment:   None.

Communications: 

Transportation Updates:
Ridership Updates:
a)  Blodgett reported ridership is up 15% across the board (including taxi tickets) through October.  Goodman reported ridership increases on both shopping and fun buses.  
b) Blodgett updated the committee on the volunteer escort driver program policy changes involving risk management (as required by Personnel) and cash handling (as required by the county auditors).  
c) Goodman reported on repairs being made to the current buses and the ADRC is looking for funds in a 2017 grant to upgrade 1 vehicle in the fleet to have rear entry access.
d) Blodgett reported on a letter received from our Sauk Prairie taxi provider on a projected price increase in 2017.  Schulte advised the Committee the ADRC could purchase as many tickets as desired prior to the price increase and they will be honored.  Discussion was held regarding the increase and the amounts charged by our Baraboo and Reedsburg providers.
Grant Updates:
Blodgett reported we are still waiting to hear on grant application 5310 written in August and the 85.21 grant which is due at the end of this month.  Existing grant 2nd Quarter payments have not been received; once received, 3rd Quarter will be submitted.
Revenues/Costs:
No report, Blodgett will have numbers available for Thursday’s ADRC Committee meeting.  Discussion was held on the varying price of taxi tickets around the county.  Schulte reported Walworth and Washington counties have instituted shared ride programs.  Blodgett will contact these counties about the program and report back to this Committee at the next meeting.

Spencer noted the seamless transition in the ADRC of replacing the previous Program Specialist and commented on the good work done by Robin Kitzinger.

MOTION (Demers/Spencer ) to adjourn until Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.  Motion carried unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 10:43 a.m.
