Meeting Minutes - October 3, 2013

1.  Call to Order.  The meeting was called to order by James Evenson.

2.  Approval of Minutes.  The minutes of the July 11, 2013 meeting were approved.

3.  Security Actions Since Last Meeting.  An incident occurred where contraband was passed to an inmate in court holding resulting in a change in policy where attorneys meeting with inmates will now have to do so from the attorney booth.

4.  Acttive Shooter Discussion.  A program has been presented and is available by video.  An evaluation is continuing.  Possible additional training will be developed.  Panic buttons will be regularly tested.

5.  Limited Building Entry/Weapons Screening Discussion.  Survey results indicated that this is not a necessity.  The issue is being kept on the Property and Insurance Committee agenda.  The committee tabled this issue indefinitely.

6.  Supreme Court Rule 60.38.  This committee operates under the direction of Supreme Court Rule 60.38.  The administrative coordinator is collecting information from other counties and will share the information when available.

7.  Next Meeting.  The next scheduled meeting it Thursday, January 9, 2014, at 7:00 a.m. in the EMBS Meeting Room.
