The meeting was called to order and certification of Open Meeting compliance was given at 3:00 P.M. Motion by Calkins, second by Englund to adopt agenda. Motion carried.
Motion by Krueger, second by Dolch, to approve the minutes of the prior meeting. Motion carried.
Public Comment:
1.Rick Spoentgen – Requesting the CJCC take the CCRT and SART committee’s within their oversight. Mr. Spoentgen feels that this oversight would be beneficial and promote growth of the committees.
Prioritize Goals: Discussion is had regarding the 2016 goals as they pertain to this group. Additional information is discussed with the award of TAD funds and prioritizing the hybrid program for the Drug Court Subcommittee. This committee will continue to focus on pre-trial incarceration for the adult population. Motion by Calkins, second by Englund to move forward in 2016 and 2017 with the goal of oversight of CCRT and SART committees, additionally looking at other committees that could fall within the CJCC oversight. Motion carried.
Assign Responsibility: J. Strunz and J. Krueger will discuss this process and present to the committee at our next meeting.
Proxy: Sauk Prairie is using the Hawaiian Proxy and collecting the data with this tool.
Next Steps: Identify starting point to gather current data for low-risk pre-trial offenders.
