Members present: Renae Fry, Marty Krueger, Bill Wenzel, Connie Lehman, Judge Reynolds, Judge Screnock, Leonie Dolch, Lewis Lange, Jerry Strunz, Cathy Warwick, Dan Brattset, Kathy Laatsch, Jeff Bindl, Ellen Allen, Annette Kuhlmann, Ryan Ramnarace
Members absent: Judge Klicko, Kevin Calkins, and Jay Englund
Others Present:
The meeting was called to order and certification of Open Meeting compliance was given at 3:32 p.m. Motion by Bindl, second by Lange to adopt agenda. Motion carried.
Public Comment: None
Communications:
Absences are reported by J. Krueger
2017 Goals: Motion by Strunz, second by Laatsch to postpone goals to the September meeting. Motion carried.
2017 Budget: Discussion focus revolves around budgetary items and how they correlate to the goals of the CJCC. Including what cuts should be made and where they should be made to allow for a palatable levy impact. Motion by Krueger, second by Wenzel to budget 50% for the MH position in the jail within the CJCC budget. Motion carried. Motion by Strunz, second by Krueger to move the budget forward to E&L with noted changes. Motion carried.
Standing Committee Appointments:
Adult Justice Systems: Strunz reports that the next committee meeting is scheduled for 9/7 and that the group is doing great.
Drug Court Subcommittee: Screnock reports that the committee will continue it’s work and structure after discussions with Corporation Counsel.
The next meeting is scheduled for 8/26.
Juvenile Justice Systems: Bindl reports that the committee has met once and is
working on gathering information for a Juvenile System
Map. The next meeting is 9/6.
System Mapping: Kuhlmann reports that the scheduled meeting was canceled
due to scheduling conflicts. The next meeting is 9/14.
Data Collection: Laatsch reports that the committee is scheduled to meet on
9/7.
