           Punishment or Alternatives?  The European Perspective on Drug Related Crime

Baraboo, WISCONSIN; October 28, 2015 - The University of Wisconsin-Baraboo/Sauk County in collaboration with the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council welcome Dr. Helmut Kury to Baraboo Wisconsin on November 16, 2015, at University of Wisconsin-Baraboo/Sauk County Science Building 1006 Connie Road in Baraboo.

Dr. Helmut Kury is a retired senior researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and In-ternational Law and faculty member at the University of Freiburg in Germany. His re-search background centered on comparative criminology, particularly penal policy through-out Eastern and Western Europe. His most re-cent research is focusing on international vari-ation in drug policies, such as decriminalization in Portugal, and forms of drug related criminal sanctions.
