TWO (2) 60,000 LB DECKOVER TRAILERS
GENERAL PROCEDURE
To comply with this REQUEST FOR PRICE QUOTATIONS, the following general procedure and attached specifications are to govern. All quotations must be in the office of the Sauk County Highway Commissioner by August 14, 2019 at 8:00 A.M.
Quotations must be sealed and properly identified with the name and address of the company submitting the quotations. Each quotation must be in a separate container or envelope and marked "Quotation on Trailer.”
All quotations must be submitted on the attached forms in order to be considered by the Sauk County Highway Committee. The following items shall constitute a complete quotation:
1. General Procedure Sheet.
2. Specification list.
3. Completed Quotation Form(s).
4. Warranty Questionnaire.
5. Detailed specification sheet and any additional information deemed
advisable by the submitter of the quotation for the benefit of the Highway
Committee in assembling comparative data.
No certified cashiers check or bonds will be required with any quotation, but satisfactory evidence of ability to make delivery of the equipment as specified must be submitted as agreed by both parties.
All quotations will be opened and read by the Highway Committee at the time and date specified above.
The Committee reserves the right to consider all quotations for a period of not exceeding forty five (45) days from date of opening. The Highway Committee will either accept a quotation or reject all quotations within that period of time.
Each company submitting a quotation will be allowed to have a representative appear before the Committee to explain their quotation. A time limit for any such presentation will be established by the Committee at the time that the quotations are opened. The Sauk County Highway Committee reserves the right to reject any or all quotations or parts thereof, and to waive any technicality in any quotation submitted, and to accept such quotations as they deem to be most advantageous to Sauk County.

SPECIFICATIONS
The following specifications are to apply to a 60,000 lb. payload deckover trailer offered in this quotation. The trailer must be new and the latest type and model manufactured and must equal or exceed these specifications. We would like these specifications met. However, it is not our intention to write anyone out of the bidding. Should you need an exemption to these specifications, please note same on your proposal and we will discuss it with you at the review of your proposal.
Minimum Specifications for Two (2) 60,000 Lbs. Payload Deckover Trailer
Capacity: 60,000 lb. payload at 60 mph with adequate hitch load.
Deck Length: Main Deck Length 24Ft.
Frame Type: To be Engineered Fabricated Hi-Tensile Grade 80 Main Frame Beams with Grade 80 Jr-I Cross Members.
Platform: Length - 24 ft. (6 ft. Beavertail)
Width - 102"
Height - 41" (loaded)
Decking: 2" net oak hardwood laid lengthwise.
Ramps/Rear: (2) 5’ X 20” Self Cleaning, 5” x 3” Ange Iron Air Operated Ramps.
Tie Downs: (16) D-Rings, 1” **Straight** (One Set Centered on BVT).
Hitch Length: Center of Coupler to Headboard, Appx 5.30 ft.
Hitch Type: (1) 3" Adjustable 90K Pintle (7/8” Gr 8 Bolts) [C].
Safety Chains: (1) 5/8" Safety Chains, Grade 80. Chains to have ample strength to hold the entire GVWR 71,400 lbs.
Jack: (1) 25K 2 Speed Drop Leg.
Suspension: 49” Spread (Spring), 9700 Hutch.
Axles: (3) 25K Oil Bath.
Tires: (12) 255/70 R22.5 H.
Wheels: - (12) 22.5 x 8.25 Hub Pilot type 10 bolt.
Plug: (1) 7 Pole Semi.
Lights: LED Lights (Peterson), Sealed Wiring Harness (Sealco).
Wheel Oil Seals: With oil bath bearings and see through inspection caps.
Mud Flaps: (2) Mud flaps.
Brakes: Air, ABS 2S/1M, Meritor WABCO (Parking brakes on all axles).
Electrical System: Wiring - All wiring to be sealed system type and mounted in rubber grommets. Wiring positioned above lowest cross member height to protect electrical system from ground obstacles. All wiring 10, 12, & 14 gauge to provide adequate voltage to lights. All electrical per D.O.T. / I.C.C. standards.
Paint: Entire trailer must be cleaned and prepared to accept a complete coat of primer. All mill scale and weld slag must be removed prior to painting. Paint color shall be red or black.
Steps: (2) 1 on the Standard Hitch and 1 in front of Axles on Roadside.

The following questionnaire must be filled in completely and must accompany quotation.

A. Does manufacturer build all important parts of this Trailer?

NOTICE: Bidder shall obtain a statement from the factory stating the time required to make delivery following an award, if any. Said statement from factory shall be attached to this proposal by the bidder and made a part thereof.
WARRANTY:
Bidder shall furnish warranty covering the Trailer on faulty materials and workmanship, covering any and all parts on the Trailer complete as delivered. Bidder shall state here the number of days that such warranty will be in effect following the date of delivery to the County. _________________________
SUCCESSFUL BIDDER IS TO FURNISH SAUK COUNTY WITH A PARTS AND SERVICE MANUAL FOR THE TRAILER AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
The bidder shall enclose with the bid a copy of the latest print literature of the manufacturer, giving full coverage of the specifications of the Trailer the bidder is bidding upon and proposes to furnish in bidder proposal.
