Meeting Minutes

 

Committee Members Present: Bailey, Dederich, Deitrich, Felton, Gavin, Geoghegan, Jelinek, Pate, Wilson,

Committee Members Absent: Hameau, Templin,

 

Call to Order: called meeting to order @ 3:05 pm

 

Approve Agenda: Motion by Jelinek, seconded by Pate to adopt agenda.

 

Approve Minutes: Motion by Jelinek, seconded by Pate to approve minutes from May 28, 2020 meeting.

 

Public Comment: none

Review 2020 Projects and Budge Status: Pate handed out 2020 YTD budget report document. Discussion of the budget line items.

 

2021 Land Records Modernization Budget: Discussion of 2021 Goals & Priorities – Pate handed out 2021 Goals sheet.

 

Review of final budget: Discussion and some explanations: $12,000 – text notification project, $51,000 decrease overall, if all budgeted items expended there will be ~$173,709.00 – Balance @ end of 2021.  Budget is going to Finance on Sept. 28th.

Treasurer – tax map scanning projects: These projects have been eliminated.

 

Discussion of Land Records Activities & Updates by Department:

Surveyor Report

Progress on 2020 WLIP Grant projects:  -Dederich stated that no projects have been compiled yet. He states they will be out in the next couple weeks.

Land Records/GIS

2020 WLIP Strategic Initiative Grant – Felton noted that no projects have been developed yet. This grant is for $40,000, Sauk Co received $20,000 (first ½) earlier in the year

2021 WLIP Strategic Initiative Grant – Felton stated that there was no word on the 2021 WLIP SIG yet. No idea if the grant will be for $40,000 or $50,000. 

**update: DOA sent out notice that 2021 grant application is open. Sauk Co is eligible for $50,000.  The deed transfers were way up from expected over the last FY.

2020 Orthophotography & LiDAR project update – Felton reiterated to the committee that both the flights for Orthos & LiDAR have been flown. Processing of the data is still taking place.  Had hoped to have some data sent for QA/QC, but so far no response from vendor on that.

 

Agenda items for next meeting: Will add the usual first of the year items to agenda for January meeting.

 

Next meetings Tentative dates Tues. January 26th, 2021 (WSLS Jan 27-29, 2021); Thurs, May 27, 2021; Thurs. Sept. 23rd, 2021.
