Purpose

Donate the Sauk City information sign to the Village of Sauk City.

Background

The Sauk County Conservation Committee installed an information sign in Sauk City in the 1960’s.  The sign was posted on or near the U.S. Highway 12 bridge in Sauk City until the bridge was rebuilt several years ago.  Since that time, the sign has been stored in the Sauk City highway shop.  Sauk County has been approached about relinquishing ownership of the sign to the Village of Sauk City.  The Village plans to refurbish the sign and place it back in the community.

 

The Sauk County Conservation Committee has evolved into the Land Resources and Extension Committee.  It has been determined that the LRE Committee has jurisdiction over the sign.  The LRE Committee met on May 8th and recommended donating the information sign to the Village of Sauk City.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sauk County Board of Supervisors, met in regular session, does hereby donate the Sauk City information sign to the Village of Sauk City.
