AUTHORIZING/APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF 2018 FORD EXPLORER POLICE INTERCEPTOR FOR THE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT [Text Box: Fiscal Impact: [ ] None [x ] Budgeted Expenditure [ ] Not Budgeted]

            WHEREAS, the Sauk County Emergency Management Department responds to emergencies and attends meetings around the County and region; and,

            WHEREAS, the Emergency Management Director requested bids for replacement of a 2010 Ford Escape, and the low bid of $24,860 was provided by Kayser Ford of Madison; and,

            WHEREAS, the 2018 Emergency Management adopted budget contains $24,000 in capital outlay for the purchase of a vehicle. There will be unspent funds in other line items to cover the additional $860 needed for vehicle purchase; and,

            WHEREAS, in the Committee’s reasonable judgment was discussed herein,

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Sauk County Board of Supervisors,

met in regular session, that the Sauk County Emergency Management Department be authorized and directed to purchase a 2018 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor from Kayser Ford in Madison at a cost of $24,860.

            BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the consideration by the Sauk County Board of Supervisors this 16th day of January, 2018.
