AUTHORIZING THE ADDITION OF EMAIL LICENSING TO SAUK COUNTY’S EXISTING MICROSOFT ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT (EA)

            WHEREAS, Sauk County is currently enrolled in a three year Microsoft EA for the desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office products licensed; and,

            WHEREAS, this three year agreement is set to renew on April 1, 2018; and,

            WHEREAS, consolidating all Microsoft desktop licensing into the agreement simplifies license management and provides a significant cost advantage to Sauk County; and,

            WHEREAS, adding said licenses to the agreement would result a net increase in the annual cost of the agreement of $43,859.25, based on 505 licenses; and,

           WHEREAS, in your Executive and Legislative Committee’s reasonable judgment, it is in the best interest of Sauk County to add 505 Microsoft Exchange Online licenses, with Azure Information Protection, to the existing Enterprise License Agreement with Microsoft, and to renew the revised agreement for an annual cost $115,259.16 for three years

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Sauk County Board of Supervisors,

met in regular session, that the addition of said licensing to Sauk County’s existing Microsoft Enterprise Agreement is hereby approved; and,

            BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the existing agreement be renewed for a three year term beginning April 1, 2018, and;

           BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,  that the Sauk County MIS Director be authorized to obtain additional licenses under this agreement, up to the number required to maintain compliance with said agreement, on behalf of  Sauk County, and;

           BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Sauk County MIS Director be delegated the authority to renew this agreement, for the currently licensed products, on behalf of Sauk County.
