ORDER OF BUSINESS. The meeting was called to order by Gibson at 3:30PM and was certified to be in compliance with the Open Meetings Law.
AGENDA. Motion by P. Rego, second by C. Gruber, to adopt the amended agenda. Motion carried.
MINUTES. Motion by C. Gruber, second by T. McCumber, to approve the September 14, 2018, business meeting minutes as sent. Motion carried.
PUBLIC COMMENT. None.
COMMUNICATIONS. None.
DISTRICT ATTORNEY INTERNAL PROMOTION. K. Calkins appeared to request ability to internally promote L. Hoffman into the vacant position of Victim Witness Leadworker. Discussion ensued. Motion by C. Gruber, second by P. Rego, to approve the internal promotion as presented. Motion carried.
PUBLIC HEALTH OUT OF CLASS PAY REQUEST. T. Hayes appeared to request ability to provide out of class pay for a period of one year ending November 4, 2019, for the Deputy Director. The department is working on a significant amount of transition in a number of areas. Discussion ensued. Motion by S. Gibson, second by P. Rego, to approve the out of class pay request as presented. Motion carried.
PUBLIC HEALTH OUT OF CLASS PAY REQUEST. T. Hayes appeared to request ability to provide out of class pay for a period of one year ending November 4, 2019, for the position of Health Educator/Grants Manager. The department is working on a significant amount of transition in a number of areas. Discussion ensued. Motion by P. Rego, second by T. McCumber, to approve the out of class pay extension as requested. Motion carried.
CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION FOR INCLUSION UNDER THE STATE OF WISCONSIN DEFERRED COMPENSATION PROGRAM. M. Posewitz presented information regarding the voluntary deferred compensation program offered through the State of Wisconsin. A resolution is required on behalf of the governing body to participate in the voluntary deferred compensation program. Discussion ensued. Motion by C. Gruber, second by T. McCumber, to approve the resolution as presented. Motion carried.
DEPARTMENTAL UPDATE. M. Posewitz distributed the monthly activities report including meetings, recruitments, attrition, workers compensation, insurance claims, EAP utilization, and benefits information. Reviewed health insurance renewal numbers for 2019 and discussed a better process for reclassification and new position requests. Motion by C. Gruber, second by P. Rego, to approve the monthly report and invoices for $2,069.87 as presented. Motion carried.
Motion by P. Rego, second by T. McCumber to adjourn until November 13, 2018, at 5:15PM. Motion carried.
