Sheriff's Office

How We Help Our Community

We serve over 65,000 residents in Sauk County by providing a variety of law enforcement services, including the enforcement of state law and county ordinances.

Among some of the roles, Sauk County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for responding to emergencies, routine patrol, monitoring traffic safety, resolving disputes, arresting suspects, maintaining jail security, criminal investigations, serving civil process, and others.

Even though Patrol Deputies and Jail Deputies make up the majority of the department workforce, the Sheriff’s Office has many managerial and clerical office duties. The support provided by the clerks, maintenance, and other workers are essential to this department’s success.
