Barn Restaurant Fire

     On December 23, 2018 at approximately 6:12am the Sauk County Communications Center was notified of a structure fire at the Barn Restaurant located on CTH DL just outside of the City of Baraboo.  Baraboo Fire Department, Baraboo Ambulance and Sauk County Sheriff’s Deputies were immediately dispatched to the scene.  A City of Baraboo Police Officer arrived on scene shortly thereafter and reported flames and smoke coming from the restaurant.

     Baraboo Fire Department arrived on scene and requested assistance through the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS) from the Lake Delton Fire Department, Reedsburg Fire Department, Merrimac Fire Department, Plain Fire Department, North Freedom Fire Department, Sauk City Fire Department, Kilbourne Fire Department, Loganville Fire Department, Sauk Prairie Ambulance, Alliant Energy, and Salvation Army.

     The fire was extinguished and an investigation into its cause and origin was initiated by the Baraboo Fire Department and Sauk County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation and the United States Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms.
