CTH Q Crash

On November 16, 2012 at approximately 6:39am the Sauk County Sheriff’s Communications Center was notified of a single vehicle traffic crash on CTH Q just east of CTH Y in the Woodland Township. It was reported that the vehicle had struck a tree and that the driver was unresponsive. Sheriff’s Deputies and Wonewoc Fire and Ambulance were sent to the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2000 Volvo, operated by Joshua J. Hustad, age 27, of Wonewoc, WI, was eastbound on CTH Q when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to enter the north ditch and strike a tree. Hustad was found in the vehicle and was extricated using the JAWS of LIFE. Hustad was transported to Hillsboro Hospital by Wonewoc Ambulance, and then to UW Hospital in Madison by UW Hospital Med Flight.
Hustad was wearing his seatbelt and alcohol is not a factor in this crash. This incident remains under investigation by the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office.
