Drowning

On Friday July 10, 2020 at approximately 3:42 PM the Sauk County Communications Center received a call of a possible drowning at the Chapparal Water Park in the La Valle Township.

Sauk County Sheriff’s Deputies, Elroy Police Officers, La Valle First Responders, Reedsburg Ambulance Service and UW Med Flight were immediately sent to the scene.

Arriving emergency personnel found that a 7 year old female had been located in the water and was not breathing. Life saving measures were immediately started by bystanders on scene and continued by arriving emergency personnel. The female was transported to UW Hospital via UW Med Flight where she later died.

The name of the victim is not being released at this time.
