Drug Arrests - North Freedom

On Tuesday July 23rd, 2024, the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office conducted a check for a wanted person at 419 North Maple Street #24 in the Village of North Freedom.  While attempting the warrant service, cause was developed to conduct a probation/parole search of the residence related to on-going drug activity. During the search Investigators located and seized methamphetamine, heroin, THC, drug paraphernalia, and other controlled substances.  As a result, the below listed individuals were taken into custody and incarcerated in the Sauk County Jail. The investigation is ongoing and additional criminal charges are possible.

Wilbur D. Taholski, 69, of North Freedom – Possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of heroin, possession of a controlled substance without valid prescription, possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia, bail jumping, and maintaining a drug trafficking place

Kim M. Popple, 61, of North Freedom - Possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a drug trafficking place

Justin C. Popple, 33, of North Freedom - Child support warrant, probation violation

Anna M. Wilson, 40, of Baraboo – Probation violation

Fred B. Schwarz, 48, of North Freedom – Possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, bail jumping
