Drug Search Warrants

On 08/13/2024 the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office executed three search warrants at properties in the Baraboo Area, including at a residence in the Town of Fairfield, a commercial property in the City of Baraboo, and a storage building in the Town of Baraboo.  The searches were conducted in connection with an on-going drug investigation involving the distribution of cocaine and other drugs.  During the search Investigators located and seized illegal drugs, a large number of firearms, and other evidence of drug distribution.  As a result, William D. Deppe, 37, of Baraboo was arrested and incarcerated in the Sauk County Jail on charges of possession with intent to deliver cocaine > 40grams, possession with intent to deliver a schedule two narcotic, money laundering, and maintaining a drug trafficking place.  This investigation is on-going and additional criminal charges are possible.

 The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Wisconsin Department of Justice – Division of Criminal Investigation, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Lake Delton Police Department, the Reedsburg Police Department, the Wisconsin Dells Police Department, and Wisconsin State Patrol.
