FATAL CRASH – TOWN OF LAVALLE **UPDATE - NAME RELEASED**

The operator of the truck involved in this crash was Terry L. Hooker, age 56, of Ironton, Wisconsin.  Hooker died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.

Fatal Crash - Town of LaValle

On February 03, 2024, at approximately 11:25 pm, the Sauk County Communications Center was advised of a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of County Trunk F and Warbler Court in the Town of LaValle.  Sauk County Sheriff’s Office, LaValle Fire Department and First Responders, and Reedsburg Area Ambulance Service personnel were immediately sent to the scene.    

The initial investigation shows that a pick-up truck was traveling west on County Trunk F and struck a bridge.  After striking the bridge, the truck rotated into a body of water, came to rest, and became partially submerged in water. 

The operator of the truck and sole occupant, a 56-year-old male from Ironton, Wisconsin, died at the scene.  The name is being withheld at this time pending notification of family.    

This crash remains under investigation by the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office.  The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the LaValle Fire Department and First Responders, Reedsburg Area Ambulance Service, and the Sauk County Coroner’s Office.
