Hit and Run Arrest

On June 9, 2017 the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest in the Hit and Run to a bicyclist crash that occurred on June 8, 2017 on CTH PF and Rahl Road. 

Charles J. Arndt, age 29 of Prairie Du Sac, was taken into custody for Felony Hit and Run Causing Injury.  Arndt was operating a black 2004 Ford Ranger at the time of the crash and was one of the persons that called in identifying himself as a witness.  Arndt initially gave the description of a “red” Ford Ranger pick-up truck as the suspect vehicle.  Sheriff’s Deputies found damage on Arndt’s vehicle consistent with injuries sustained by the bicyclist and with evidence left at the scene.  It should be noted that Arndt was convicted of misdemeanor Hit and Run Causing Injury in 2007.
