Hit/Run Crash

On June 8, 2017 at approximately 7:50am the Sauk County Communications Center was notified of a vehicle versus bicycle crash on CTH PF at Rahl Road in the Township of Prairie Du Sac.  It was reported that the vehicle involved fled the scene.  Sauk County Sheriff’s Deputies, Sauk Prairie Ambulance and an Officer from the Sauk Prairie Police Department were dispatched to the scene.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 44 year old Prairie Du Sac woman was riding her bicycle eastbound on CTH PF when she was struck by an eastbound vehicle.  The vehicle slowed down but continued eastbound on CTH PF after striking the bicyclist.

The bicyclist was transported to Sauk Prairie Hospital by Sauk Prairie Ambulance and then transported to UW Hospital in Madison.

Evidence left at the scene indicate the hit and run vehicle is a 2005 to 2007 red Ford Explorer or Ford Ranger pick up.  This vehicle would have damage to the passenger side of the vehicle to include missing the passenger side mirror.
