Homicide Defendant Amber Lundgren back in custody

Lundgren

Homicide Defendant Amber M. Lundgren, 37 years of age from Richland Center, WI, who had been released from custody on November 2nd, 2020 on a $10,000 cash bond by Sauk County Circuit Court Judge Michael Screnock, is in custody following a violation of her bond conditions.

As part of Lundgren’s release from custody, Judge Screnock ordered Lundgren to report to the Richland County Sheriff’s Office  and check in daily between the hours of 7:30 am and 9:30 am.

On Wednesday, September 1st, 2021, the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office advising that Lundgren had failed to follow-the court order and reported to the Sheriff’s Office at about 12:15 pm.

At the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office request Lundgren was arrested by Richland County for Felony Bail Jumping for failing to follow the bond conditions set forth by the court at her time of release. Custody was transferred to the Sauk County Jail and she awaits a bail hearing in front of Sauk County Circuit Court Judge Michael Screnock, to be held on Friday, September 3rd.

Lundgren is charged with 1st Degree Intentional Homicide in the September 22nd, 2019 shooting death of Christopher Lytle, whom Lundgren picked up at the Ho-Chunk Casino a short time earlier. A two week trial had been set for August 2nd through August 13th, however, a late motion by the defense attorneys caused a delay while an appeal could be heard.

A new jury trial is scheduled to begin May 16th, 2022.
