Learn About Updated Laws on How Farm Machinery Operates on Wisconsin Roads

Sheriff Chip Meister is extending an invitation to local farmers, agriculturists, town officials, and the general public to attend a presentation discussing a recent Wisconsin bill that updates state laws regarding farm machinery operating on Wisconsin roadways.

Recently signed WI legislation updates the definition of implements of husbandry (IOH), extends weight limitations and addresses length and width limits, and safety concerns to lighting, and rules of the road.

"Safety on our local roadways is very important and this newly signed legislation has taken everyone's safety needs into consideration," said Sheriff Chip Meister.

Presenters will include:

  • Wisconsin State Patrol - Motor Carrier Enforcement Section
  • Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation

The presentation will take place Wednesday, September 17 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Sauk County Law Enforcement Center, Community Room D102A, 1300 Lange Crt., Baraboo, WI.
