Man arrested for 5th time Operating Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated

On April 29, 2012, a Reedsburg man was arrested for his 5th offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, a felony in the State of Wisconsin. THOMAS J. WIRRER, age 31 of Reedsburg, was observed operating a motor vehicle in the Village of Ironton around 12:13AM without wearing a seatbelt and was stopped by Sauk County Deputies for failure to indicate a right turn.


WIRRER, who admitted to being too intoxicated to drive, told officers he was giving a friend a ride home to Reedsburg. WIRRER, who is restricted to a .01 blood alcohol content due to previous arrests and convictions for operating while intoxicated, was nineteen times the legal limit when tested on the road.


WIRRER was taken into custody and transported to the Sauk County Jail and is currently awaiting a felony bond hearing.
