Man Attacked Outside of Local Bar

On 10.28.2013 at approximately 12:35 am, the Sauk County Sheriff's Department along with the Baraboo Ambulance Service, responded to Frankie's Bar located just outside of Baraboo for a physical assault which had just occurred. The male victim stated that after closing the bar, he was attacked in the parking lot by 2 other unknown male subjects. The victim was transported by ambulance to St. Clare Hospital where he was later treated and released.

The victim was only able to see one of the attackers whom he described as a white male, approximately 35-40 years old with shorter brown hair. He was also described as having facial hair and was approximately 6 feet, 2 inches tall. Both suspects quickly left the scene after being picked up by either a truck or larger SUV type vehicle heading southbound on STH 113. Per the victim and evidence at the scene, it is unknown at this time whether or not this was an intentional assault, or an attempted strong-armed robbery. The incident is still under investigation.
