Motorcycle crash with OMVWI 6 arrest

OMVWI 6TH ARREST

On July 13, 2017 at approximately 9:17 p.m., the Sauk County Communications Center was notified of a motorcycle crash on CTH W near STH 113 in the town of Greenfield.  The operator of the motorcycle was injured as a result of the crash.  Sauk County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, the Baraboo District Ambulance Service, and the Baraboo Fire Department were sent to the scene. 

The initial investigation revealed that the operator of the motorcycle was Jerry E. Willey Jr., age 49 of Baraboo, WI.  Willey was westbound on CTH W when he lost control of the motorcycle causing it to tip onto its side and for Willey to become separated from the motorcycle.  Willey showed signs of impairment.  It was learned that Willey had five prior convictions for Operating a Motor While Intoxicated and had a revoked driver’s license.

Charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated 6thOffense and Operating after Revocation, as well as several traffic citations, will be referred to the Sauk County District Attorney’s Office.
