On Monday, October 21st at approximately 11:03 PM the Sauk County Dispatch Center was notified of a vehicle tailgating and speeding while traveling eastbound on USH 12 towards Sauk City.
A Sauk County Deputy located the vehicle in Sauk City and conducted a traffic stop with it. The Deputy made contact with the operator of the vehicle, later identified as Zachary J. Zietlow, age 26 of Belleville. The Deputy was able to detect signs of impairment consistent with alcohol consumption from Zietlow and field sobriety tests were administered. After performing field sobriety tests, Zietlow was arrested and transported to the Sauk County Jail for operating while intoxicated 3rd offense, failure to install ignition interlock device, operating after revocation, and bail jumping. Zietlow was also cited for open intoxicants.
