On Saturday, September 3, 2022 at approximately 9:28PM, a Sergeant from the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 12 near Sauk Prairie Road in the Township of Prairie Du Sac. The Sergeant made contact with the operator, who was identified as Sara N Windom, age 35, of Baraboo.

While speaking to Windom, the Sergeant observed signs of impairment. Windom was asked to perform field sobriety tests. As a result of those tests, Windom was placed under arrest for Operating While Intoxicated 4^th Offense.

Charges of Operating While Intoxicated 4^th Offense and Operating while suspended are being referred to the Sauk County District Attorney’s Office.
