On Tuesday, April 8th, 2025 at approximately 6:33 PM a deputy with the Sauk County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on County Road G at Cummings Road in the township of Bear Creek. The deputy stopped a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado after observing it operate left of center on the roadway several times.
Upon approaching the vehicle the deputy identified the driver as the registered owner Scott Neefe, age 38 of Spring Green. While in contact with Neefe the deputy observed signs of impairment and requested Neefe perform field sobriety testing. As a result of the testing, Neefe was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, 4th offense. A search of the vehicle also resulted in locating a loaded firearm in the center console and Neefe was subsequently charged with Going Armed While Intoxicated. Neefe was issued several traffic citations as a result of the stop. Neefe was transported to the Sauk County Jail and turned over to custody of the jail staff without incident.
