OWI #5

On June 24, 2024 at approximately 7:17PM, a Deputy from the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on North Road near Highway 12 in the Town of Sumpter. The Deputy made contact with the operator, who was identified as Thomas J Meyer, age 60, of North Freedom, WI.

While speaking with Meyer, the Deputy observed signs of impairment. Meyer was asked to perform field sobriety tests. As a result of those tests, Meyer was placed under arrest for Operating While Intoxicated – 5^th Offense.

Charges of Operating While Intoxicated – 5^th Offense and Open Intoxicants in a motor vehicle are being referred to the Sauk County District Attorney’s Office.
