OWI 5

 On November 25, 2020 at approximately 10:45pm a Sauk County sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 14 near Porter Road in the Township of Spring Green. The offending vehicle, a 1999 Cadillac DeVille, was being driven by Santos Alvarado, age 24 of Mt. Pleasant, Texas.

During initial contact with Alvarado, the deputy noted signs of impairment. Alvarado was asked to submit to field sobriety testing and was ultimately arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, 5th offense and cited for open intoxicants, operating without a valid driver’s license, display of unauthorized plates and obstructing an officer.  Alvarado was transported to the Sauk County Jail.
