OWI 5th Offense Arrest

OWI 5TH OFFENSE ARREST

On July 20, 2019 at approximately 11 a.m., the Sauk County Communications Center was notified by a passing motorist of an unresponsive male subject in a stationary vehicle on Luebke Road at Durwards Glen Road in the Town of Greenfield.  Sauk County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and the Baraboo District Ambulance Service responded to the scene.

The male subject and operator of the vehicle was Samuel L. Petersen, age 40, of rural Baraboo. Petersen displayed evidence of impairment and evidence of recent drug use including drug paraphernalia was located at the scene.  Petersen has 4 prior convictions for Operating While Intoxicated.

Petersen was arrested and incarcerated at the Sauk County Jail.  The charge of Operating While Intoxicated 5th Offense will be referred to the Sauk County District Attorney’s Office.
