OWI 6

     On April 13, 2013 at approximately 3:00am a Sauk County Sheriff’s Deputy was following a vehicle southbound on STH 23 south of the Village of Plain when the Deputy observed the driver throw a cigarette out of the window and the vehicle to cross over the centerline on multiple occasions. 

     A traffic stop was made on the vehicle, and the operator was identified as Nathan Egli, age 38, of Spring Green, WI.  Elgi showed signs of intoxication, and a records check of Elgi’s driving record showed that he had five prior Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated convictions and was restricted to driving while under a .02 Blood Alcohol Concentration.

     Elgi was administered field sobriety tests and failed those tests.  Elgi was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated 6^th Offense and was incarcerated in the Sauk County Jail.
