On Saturday, May 25, 2024 at approximately 11:03AM, the Sauk County Sheriff's Office was notified of a motorcycle vs car crash on Valley View Rd near Willow Rd in the Franklin Township. Upon arriving at the scene, the Deputy made contact with the operator of the car, who was identified as Ryan H Meixelsperger, age 49, of rural Plain, WI.
During the course of the investigation, the Deputy learned Meixelsperger may have been impaired and ask him to perform field sobriety tests. As a result of those tests, Meixelsperger was placed under arrest for Operating While Intoxicated 6th Offense. The operator of the motorcycle was transferred by Medflight with non life threatening injuries. The Sauk County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Plain Fire and EMS, Spring Green Police, and UW Medflight.
Charges of Operating While Intoxicated 6th Offense, Fail to Install Ignition Interlock, Operating after Revocation and Operate Left of Center are being referred to the Sauk County District Attorney's Office.
