OWI 7

On November 26, 2020 at approximately 1:30am a Sauk County sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 12 near Prairie Road in the Township of Prairie Du Sac. The offending vehicle, a 1998 BMW, was being driven by William E. Jakel, age 60 of Madison.

During initial contact with Jakel, the deputy noted an odor of marijuana coming from inside vehicle. Jakel was asked to submit to field sobriety testing and was ultimately arrested for Operating with a restricted controlled substance 7th offense, possession of THC and cited for open intoxicants. Jakel was transported to the Sauk County Jail.
