OWI 7 Arrest

On October 9, 2011 at approximately 9:50pm the Sauk County Communications Center received a cell phone report of an erratic driver driving south toward Wisconsin Dells on
USH 12/16. A vehicle description including the license plate number was given.
A Sauk County Sheriff’s Deputy located the vehicle on CTH A near Indian Trail. The Deputy recognized the driver as a subject that he had previously dealt with and had knowledge that the subject did not have a valid driver’s license. A traffic stop was initiated and Field Sobriety Tests were administered to the driver. As a result, James L. Wheeler, age 53, Baraboo, WI, was arrested for 7th Offense Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle, Operating After Suspension, and Warrant from Probation and Parole.
