Pedestrian Struck By Semi

On February 3, 2017 at 12:10 P.M., the Sauk County 9-1-1 Center received a report that a pedestrian was struck by a semi on STH 33 near Mirror Lake Rd. in the TWP Of Delton.  An investigation by the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office revealed that a 52-year-old woman from Reedsburg was standing in the westbound lane of STH 33 at which time she walked into the path of an eastbound semi operated by a 43-year-old man from North Freedom.   The semi driver was operating for a company located in Baraboo.  The female received serious injuries and was transported to UW Hospital in Madison by Med Flight.

The crash remains under investigation by the Sauk County Sheriffs Office Accident Reconstruction Team.   The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Lake Delton Fire Department, Dells/Delton EMS and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
