Reedsburg man arrested for OWI, 6th Offense

On 8/30/15, Mark D. Benseman, age 50, from Reedsburg, was arrested by the Sauk County Sheriff’s Department for OWI 6^th Offense.  Benseman lost control of his car and hit a road sign in the Town of Honey Creek.  He then left the scene in his car.  Benseman then traveled approximately 6 miles and again lost control of his vehicle and ended up stuck in a ditch.  During the investigation Benseman resisted deputies’ attempts to place him under arrest at the scene.

Besides OWI 6^th Offense, Benseman was charged with Resisting Arrest, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Failure to Have Control of Vehicle, and Open Intoxicants in a Vehicle.

Benseman was transported to the Sauk County Jail.
