Rock Springs Fire

On January 8, 2015 at approximately 10:25am the Sauk County Communications Center was notified of a house on fire on West Broadway (STH 154) in the Village of Rock Springs.  The Rock Springs Fire Department, North Freedom Fire Department, and Reedsburg Area Ambulance were immediately dispatched to the scene.  They also requested mutual aid assistance from the Reedsburg Fire Department.

Sheriff’s Deputies and the Sauk County Highway Department were also requested to provide traffic control.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the fire started at a wood stove inside the residence.  Nobody was home at the time of the fire.

Firefighters from Rock Springs and North Freedom are still on scene at the time of this release.
