On October 4th, 2013, Officers with the Sauk County Drug Task Force and the Sauk County Emergency Response Team (ERT), in response to an on-going investigation regarding the sales of Crack Cocaine and other illegal drugs within Sauk County, executed a Search Warrant at a residence located in the City of Baraboo, WI. As a result of this Search Warrant, Wendell Gist, age 39, was arrested and incarcerated in the Sauk County Jail on the following charges:
 
Probation Hold
SS 961.41(1)(cm) Manufacture / Deliver Crack Cocaine – 2 counts – Class “F” Felony
SS 961.41(3G)(c) Possession with Intent to Deliver Crack Cocaine – Class “F” Felony
SS 961.42 Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place – Class “I” Felony
SS 961.573 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Class “A” Misdemeanor
SS 961.41(3G)(e) Possession of Marijuana – Class “A” Misdemeanor
 
As a result of this search warrant, Crack Cocaine, Drug Paraphernalia and U.S. Currency was seized.

The Sauk County Drug Task Force consists of members from the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office, Baraboo Police Department, Sauk Prairie Police Department, Reedsburg Police Department, Lake Delton Police Department, Spring Green / Plain Police Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
