STH 113 Crash
On June 11, 2017 at approximately 4:30pm the Sauk County Communications Center was notified of a car versus motorcycle crash on STH 113 just south of Halweg Road in the Township of Merrimac.
Sheriff's Deputies, Merrimac Fire and First Responders, and Sauk Prairie Ambulance were immediately sent to the scene.
The preliminary investigation showed that a vehicle was southbound on STH 113 when it crossed over the centerline and struck a motorcycle head on. The operator of the vehicle was transported to Sauk Prairie Hospital by Sauk Prairie Ambulance. The operator of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene by the Sauk County Coroner's Office.
Names of the drivers involved are not being released at this time pending notification of relatives. This incident remains under investigation by the Sauk County Sheriff's Office.
