STH 23 Fatal Crash

On October  20, 2018 at approximately 12:18 pm the Sauk County Communications Center was notified of a single vehicle crash on STH 23 south of Elder Ridge Road in the Township of Westfield.  Sauk County Sheriff's Deputies, Loganville Fire and First Responders and Reedsburg Ambulance were sent to the scene.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a pick up truck was north bound on STH 23 when the operator lost control causing it to enter the west ditch and stike a power pole.  The operator was pronounced dead at the scene by the Sauk County Coroner's Office.  The passenger was transported to Reedsburg Hospital by Reedsburg Ambulance.

Names are not being released at this time pending notification of relatives.  This crash remains under investigation by the Sauk County Sheriff's Office.
