STH 33 Crash

     On May 13, 2014 at approximately 1:55pm the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two vehicle crash on STH 33 just west of Northwoods Drive in the Township of Excelsior.  It was reported that one vehicle had rolled over in the ditch and that the occupant was pinned inside.  Sheriff’s Deputies, Reedsburg Fire, and Reedsburg Ambulance were immediately sent to the scene.

     The investigation revealed that a 1997 Jeep, operated by Mark T. Henderson, age 66, of Reedsburg, WI, was westbound on STH 33 when it crossed over the centerline and struck a 2004 Chevrolet Impala, operated by Alfred L. Ray, age 54, of Reedsburg, WI.  The Jeep then entered the south ditch where it rolled over.  Reedsburg Fire Department used extrication tools to remove Henderson from the vehicle.

     Henderson was transported to Reedsburg Area Medical Center by Reedsburg Ambulance.  Alfred was treated at the scene.  Both subjects were wearing seatbelts and alcohol was not a factor in this crash.  This incident remains under investigation by the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office.
