STH 60 Crash

 On June 15, 2014 at approximately 2:33am the Sauk County Communications Center was notified of a single vehicle roll over crash on STH 60 approximately .2 miles west of Cassel Road in the Township of Troy.  Sheriff's Deputies, Sauk City Fire, and Sauk Prairie Ambulance were immediately sent to the scene.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a pick up truck was eastbound on STH 60 when the operator lost control while negotiating a curve and over-corrected causing the vehicle to overturn multiple times.  The operator, who was the lone vehicle occupant, was partially ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Sauk County Coroner's Office.  The name of the deceased is being withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin.  

This crash remains under investigation by the Sauk County Sheriff's Office.  The operator was not wearing a seat belt and alcohol is a factor in this crash.
