Town of Delton Homicide - UPDATE

On Tuesday, January 15th, 2019, an autopsy was performed at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, WI on the victim that was located the previous day in the Town of Delton. The autopsy confirmed that the victim died by homicidal means. No additional information related to the autopsy will be released at this time.

The unknown subject whose photo was attached to the original press release has been identified and spoken to. He is not believed to have had any part in the homicide nor any knowledge of it until after he saw press coverage of the incident. His identity is not being released at this time pending further follow-up.

The suspect, Robert Pulvermacher, was reportedly seen on the east side of Madison on Tuesday afternoon. Efforts to locate the suspect at the time were unsuccessful. The Madison Police Department are assisting the Sauk County Sheriffs Office in searching for this suspect.

We ask the public, especially in the greater Madison area to be alert and be on the lookout for Pulvermacher. If located, do not approach him, but rather attempt to maintain visual contact and call 911.
