Traffic Crash - OWI #5

On Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at approximately 7:53PM, a Deputy from the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the area of Ishnala Road near Fern Dell Road, in the Township of Delton, for a report of a one vehicle crash with injuries.  

Initial First Responders located a 2003 Ford Mustang that failed to navigate a curve, struck a driveway, and rolled over. When the Deputy arrived on scene, he made contact with the operator who was identified as Calvin J Poeschel, age 43, of Arcadia. Poeschel was the only occupant of the vehicle. 

While speaking with Poeschel, the Deputy observed signs of impairment. Based on the information collected, Poeschel was placed under arrest for Operating While Intoxicated 5^th Offense.

Charges of Operating While Intoxicated 5^th Offense and Failure to Maintain Control are being referred to the Sauk County District Attorney’s Office.

The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene my Lake Delton Police Department, Lake Delton Fire Department, and Dells-Delton Ambulance Service.
