Traffic Crash- Town of Franklin

On March 13th, 2020 at 2:57pm the Sauk County Communications Center was notified of a motor vehicle accident on State Highway 23 at Leland Road in the Town of Franklin. Initial Information received by the dispatch center was of a one-vehicle crash with one injury

The preliminary investigation showed that a 2013 Chevy Silverado pulling a trailer was being operated southbound on STH 23 by Lemoin P. Holstlaw, age 59, of Lone Rock. Holstlaw suffered a medical episode and the Chevy Silverado crossed the centerline, ultimately coming to rest in a creek just south of Leland Road. A motorist who stopped at the scene initiated CPR as Holstlaw was found to be pulseless and not breathing. Holstlaw was pronounced dead at the scene by a UW-Medflight physician.

The Plain Fire Department, Plain Ambulance, UW-Medflight and Sauk County Coroner’s Office assisted the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office.
