UPDATE - Two Females Found Dead in Hotel Room

On January 17, 2013 at 11:04 a.m., the Sauk County Communications Center received a call from Ho-Chunk Security reporting two deceased females in a hotel room.

Upon the arrival of the deputies, two women were located in a room deceased. The women were identified as Stephanie L. Mortimer, age 25, of Reedsburg and Ashley M. Brault, age 27 of Madison.  Initial investigation lead the investigators to believe the deaths were possibly drug related.  The investigators located needles, syringes and other smoking devices used for the consumption of drugs.  Autopsies were completed on Friday with toxicology reports pending. The investigation remains ongoing.

The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Ho-Chunk Security, Dells-Delton EMS and the Sauk County Coroner.
