Vehicle Crash CTH P & CTH H

VEHICLE CRASH

On Friday, November 25, 2010, at about 11:52 p.m., the Sauk County Communications Center received a report of a one vehicle crash near the intersection of CTH H and CTH P in the township of Dellona. The Sauk County Sheriff’s Department along with Reedsburg Fire and EMS were dispatched to the scene.

The operator of the vehicle, ROGER MARTIN, age 79, of Reedsburg, was transported by ambulance to Reedsburg Area Medical Center with severe injuries. He was later transported to UW Hospital via Med Flight.

The initial investigation concluded that MARTIN was traveling west bound on CTH P and failed to stop at the “T” intersection with CTH H. MARTIN crossed CTH H and struck a tree head on in the west side ditch line. MARTIN, who was the only occupant in the vehicle, was not wearing a seat belt and alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
