Vehicle vs. Pedestrian Fatal Crash **Update - Names Released**

**Update - The name of the vehicle operator involved in this crash is Blair C. Murphy, age 30 of Merrimac, Wisconsin. The name of the deceased pedestrian involved in this crash is Nataliya Kasiyan, age 42 of Park Ridge, Illinois. **

On Wednesday, July 27th, 2022 at approximately 9:31 AM the Sauk County Dispatch Center received a report of a motor vehicle vs. pedestrian crash on Durwards Glen Road near the intersection with Luebke Road in the township of Greenfield. 

The first arriving deputies on scene located a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox with damage to the front passenger side. The pedestrian was lying on the roadside and aid was being administered and med-flight was requested. After several minutes the pedestrian was pronounced deceased and the request for med-flight was canceled. 

Initial investigation showed that the Equinox was being driven northbound on Durwards Glen Road just north of the intersection with Luebke Road. The pedestrian was on the east side of the road heading southbound towards Luebke Road when they were struck. The operator of the Equinox called 911 to report the incident and remained on scene throughout and are cooperating with the investigation. The name of the deceased is being withheld at this time pending notification of family and the investigation into this incident remains ongoing. The roadway was closed for several hours while deputies investigated the crash. 

Assisting the Sauk County Sheriff's Office on scene were members of the Baraboo Fire Department and Baraboo EMS.
